With 48% of mobile gamers being women, the future of videogaming looks increasingly female. It was added that Nyamyam is currently working on an Android version of Tengami, which has yet to be given a release date.Perceptions that the world of gaming is dominated by teenage boys are long outdated. "We don't know what the next game is going to be - we're still on a finding period," Schneidereit said. The revenues will help towards funding their next project, which is currently unknown. To date, the game has seen $1.1 million in gross revenue, or around $650,000 in revenue after Apple and Nintendo took their share. The game also made its investment back, with a budget of around £57,000 - not including personal expenses for its three development staff, or each staff member not taking a salary for the period. Nyamyam also said the game achieved all its pre-launch goals set from the team, with favourable app store ratings from fans and editor's choice awards from press and platform holders. "Don't give up if you don't sell loads in the beginning," she added. Tengami has seen eight offers to take part in PC bundles since launch, saying there's "a real industry" there. "We're still selling 50 to 100 copies on the App Store every day, and get a steady pay cheque from Apple, Nintendo, Steam and the Humble Bundle." "There was a spike on each platform when released, but sales didn't drop off as much as anticipated," she said. Coming from a triple-A, big studio background, her expectation was that first week sales were vital in success. Schneidereit told developers that if a game doesn't sell during its initial launch period then they shouldn't underestimate lifetime sales. I think our lifetime sales will be closer to 20,000 in the end." "Speaking to other independent developers, there seems to be a consensus that the average indie game on the eShop has sold 10,000 copies in its lifetime - we've sold 11,000 now, and I think there's more room to grow. "We decided we're going to do a Wii U version, I worked under the assumption it would sell 10,000 copies - it sold a little bit more by now, so that's okay. "To be honest, I don't know if it's a good platform for independent developers, but I don't regret releasing on the Wii U. "A lot of developers ask me about the Wii U, whether it's a good platform for independent developers," she said. It's really, really hard to generate interest for your game beyond your launch platform."ĭespite the comparatively low sales on Wii U, Schneidereit said sales on the platform met expectations. "If you look at the critics' reviews, there's only six reviews for the PC version on Metacritic, but about 20 for Wii U. ![]() But when we released on the Wii U, we only got a decent amount of coverage, and on Steam, we hardly got any coverage. ![]() "We got really great press coverage when we released Tengami on iOS. "If you're a small studio like ours, you're probably able to get good enough press coverage for your launch platform - because your game is news, and everybody's excited to see how it's going," she explained. Though there was good storefront promotion on both iOS and Wii U - "I think this was the most important aspect for our financial success," Schneidereit said - press coverage dropped off heavily beyond the iOS launch for other platforms. ![]() It was added that the iOS version was sold at a lower price point of $5, compared to $10 on Wii U and PC. It was noted that the figures were up until June 1, so did not include recent Humble Bundle sales on PC amounting to around 48,000 copies sold. "It's not surprising as we heavily targeted the Apple platform," co-founder Jennifer Schneidereit told attendees including Digital Spy about the revenue figures. Wii U and PC versions - which were released in November 2014 and January 2015 respectively - sold a combined 10%, or around 11,000 copies per platform. The atmospheric adventure game saw 90% of total revenue - around 196,000 copies sold - come from the iOS versions, which launched first in February 2014. Tengami saw the vast majority of its revenue on its launch platform, developer Nyamyam revealed during a post-mortem talk at this year's Develop conference in Brighton. ![]() ![]() ![]() and passives+spell effects to reach an effective 100% block chance. The main point of this build is of course focused around condemn but also equipped Justice Lantern and Akarat's Awakening. Hey everybody, i've been theory crafting for a while on a LON Condemn Crusader Legs: Skelon's Deceit (or Death's Bargain)įeel free to comment with any changes you think would improve this or how it worked out for you. i found that the tornadoes do not spawn well with enemies up close. Try to stay away from diving into enemies too much and keep your distance. You can put some stats into vitality if you are dying too often. ![]() In terms of paragon stats, you should be maxing out movement speed and then just stacking into intelligence. The damage does not really stack until you get more ancient legendaries equipped but once those start happening you will get to at least GR 80 with no trouble. The greatest thing about this is that you don't need to worry about enemies being sprawled about or worry about pressing multiple spells. I decided to start making this build because i enjoyed the effect of Etched Sigil and Ranslor's Folly together. Legacy of Dreams is not required for this to work, you can also use Litany of the Undaunted and The Wailing Host, but LoD makes it a bit more flexible and doesn't require chancing perfect ring rolls. If you're lucky and get the huntmaster ring you can swap out to 2pc T19 as well if it's not going to be a massive ilvl drop. I would still recommend sorting out your stats if you're going to run 4pc T20. DF will generally give you more consistent results across the board, and will be significantly better on fights like Mistress where you have heavy AoE continually. I don't think having 2pc T19 and 4pc T20 is the best option unless you've got the Huntmaster ring. ![]() Mechanics change a lot of things.ĭF is quite an easy build to play, just pay attention to your buffs and watch the timer on DF to see how long it has left before using a second charge, try and make sure you have that extra attack speed stacking up over time and not spending ages letting it drop off. I mean, if you're simming for a million and only hitting 850k there are some major execution issues there, but it's not awful. If you have tier 19 pieces in the bank, I think the best scenario for you is to equip the tier 19 2-piece and switch legendaries accordingly so you don't drop the tier 20.įor the first part, realistically 850k isn't going to be a top 10 parse but I've raided with plenty worse. To be fair, I think you need to practice how to use Dire Frenzy before you actually raid with it, otherwise just keep using Stomp. I'm terrible at dire frenzy? (More likely)ĭire frenzy will scale much better with gear? Is stomp better for me because of my gear? Lots of crit with bracers/mantle. The suprising thing is im not using the soul of the huntmaster or any T19. Stomp certainly felt more fun to play, and less punishing if you miss a cast, unlike dire frenzy where you lose your stacks which has a big hit on dps. Very little gear difference between the two runs, certainly not enough to account for >100k dps. The only scenario where dire frenzy was even close was heavy aoe on mistress sasszine. On goroth heroic went from 850k the previous week to 980k this week. Stomp turned out to be miles better in the raid than dire frenzy was. I was actually amazed by the difference it made in my dps. A few runs on a training dummy/ sims showed very little difference between the two (screenshot attached, albeit with a few gear upgrades since i last raided), so I thought I'd give the stomp build a go in a raid. Recently been experimenting between the dire frenzy build and the stomp build in ToS, going in with the expectation that the dire frenzy build would win in terms of dps. The Samsung Odyssey 32G7 supports variable refresh rate (VRR) and has both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible certifications. However, you can’t use MBR and FreeSync at the same time. The Fastest (MBR) mode is also very useful as even though it sacrifices picture brightness, the screen is more than bright enough under normal lighting conditions. ‘Fastest’ results in less ghosting, but a bit more pixel overshoot (inverse ghosting), so you’ll have to choose what looks best to you. We recommend using either the Faster or Fastest options. There are three response time overdrive levels: Standard, Faster, and Fastest as well as the ‘Fastest (MBR)’ mode, which enables backlight strobing for even better motion clarity at the cost of picture brightness. While there is still some dark trialing visible behind fast-moving objects, it’s not as noticeable or as bothersome as it is on older VA panel gaming displays. In fact, the Odyssey G7 monitors are the fastest VA displays available at the time of this writing. The pixel response time speed is impressive, as well. Thanks to the monitor’s rapid 240Hz refresh rate, you get buttery-smooth motion clarity while the input lag of only ~2ms makes for imperceptible delay. It offers a higher pixel density, whereas the 32″ model offers a more immersive gaming experience due to the bigger screen. The Odyssey G7 series also includes a 27″ sized variant, the Samsung C27G75T, with the same specifications. In fact, at just ~3 ft/1 meter away from the screen, you won’t be able to distinguish the individual pixels. So, you aren’t getting the sharpest detail clarity, but it’s very good nonetheless. Moving on, the Samsung C32G75T has the same pixel density as a 24″ 1080p monitor, which is ~93 PPI (pixels per inch). Keep in mind that for non-HDR content, the monitor’s wide color gamut can make colors appear somewhat over-saturated, particularly reds and greens. Regardless, thanks to the monitor’s wide color gamut, high contrast ratio, and strong peak brightness, it delivers a good HDR picture quality overall with notable improvement over SDR.įor the best HDR image quality, be sure to increase the monitor’s brightness as it’s set to only 30% out of the box. However, as there are only 8 zones on the monitor’s big 32″ sized screen, the local dimming solution is not particularly effective.įor the true HDR viewing experience, a 32″ LED-backlit monitor would preferably need over 1,000 dimming zones, but this would also significantly increase the monitor’s price. The monitor has an edge-lit backlight with 8 dimming zones, which can further push the contrast ratio by dimming parts of the screen according to the displayed content. Other panel-related specs include 178° wide viewing angles, a 350-nit peak brightness which gets a boost up to 600-nits for HDR content, and a static contrast ratio of 2,500:1 for deep and vivid blacks. It supports a 95% DCI-P3 wide color gamut (equivalent to ~125% sRGB), which results in more lifelike and vibrant colors. The monitor is based on Samsung’s VA panel and features a QDEF (quantum dot enhanced film) layer (also referred to as ‘QLED’) for improved colors and stronger brightness. Other specifications are impressive as well, including DisplayHDR 600 support, certified G-SYNC compatibility, 1440p resolution, and 240Hz.
